If I want to cancel an account when do you do it?


Hey guys! I need a question answered. My dad is planning to cancel his account because he feels he doesn't need a cell phone anymore as he is retiring. Im still keeping my phone though. The last day of his billing cycle is the 10th and on the 11th the new one starts. So my question is what day is best to cancel so he only gets one final bill? The 10th or wait till the 11th? Thanks 🙂

I guess you have to give a month notice atleast so serve the notice asap and set the date with the customer care.

You used to have to give a 30 day notice but now you don't.

Hi there... With Koodo there is no 30 days notice to cancel an account, the account will be cancelled at the end of the billing cycle (on this case will be the 10th), then a Final bill will be produced and will contain the rest of the TAB and any overusage if any, it means that you can call on the 10th and line will be cancel right away... Call customer service to see if there are any other options, probably your dad will need a phone in case of emergency calls, or the line can be transferred to another person as well to keep the benefits...
