You normally get charged for the regular plan ahead a month. Did you get a bill showing two monthly charges in the same month for the same monthly period? Does it say that on page 3 of your bill? Are you sure you didn't just miss a payment?
It was my understanding that I was charged for a month in advance and would not be charged for the first month as it was pre charged. I just signed up with Koodo so I am certain I didn't miss a payment. I am confused as to why I was charged so much before I had even had my first month done, and then they are charging me again for the same month.

Well your first bill will be for your partial billing cycle prorated and first full month. That's going to be larger than normal. Then the next bill will be 'normal.' Does your bill on page 3 have a double charge for the same billing cycle?
I joined on May 15 and was charged $78 on the 24 and it stated that this was my next month bill in advance. I then received another bill on June 24 for $65 for that month. There is no double charge on the second bill, but it is for the same month. I do not believe I should be getting charged for the first month as I was pre charged for that month already. I am really confused as to why this has happened.

So 78 dollars was for may15- June 24? And then it says that 65 is for May 25 to June 24?

Every month you will be charged the plan price for the month that you are going into amount with any applicable overage charges for the month that has just finished. Should you decide to cancel your account for any reason, you will not be charged the plan price on your final bill.
No, I was charged $78 for may 15-24, and then $65 on the 24 of June.

You were charged a prorated portion of your plan from may15-24, along with the price of your plan from may 25-june 24, on your first bill. On your second bill, you will see any overage charges incurred from may 25-june 24, along with the price of your plan from june 25-july 24. The next bill after that will show any overage charges from june 25-july 24, plus the price of your plan from july 25-august 24, and so on. This is not a mistake. This is how the sustenance works with all non-prepaid cellphone plans.
