I got a message from 5371, is this a scam?


I got a message from 537-1 wondering if it's a scam or not saying im $50 over my limit

I never receive this kind of message from Koodo. Did it say from Koodo? Did you go over your data or talk minutes? You can always check your usage through your self serve or Koodo app.

I suggest you call *611 and speak with a rep who can look into your account and see if there is anything actually wrong.

If you run up more than $50 in data overage charges your data will be capped by Koodo per CRTC regulations unless you ask them to switch it back on. Is that what the text message is advising you of?

It would totally make sense that it comes from Koodo!
If I dont type anything back what will happen, and what if I do?

Assuming your data is indeed capped at the $50 overage, it will simply remain off until the start of the next billing cycle, when you receive a new bucket of data to use.
