I am not receiving texts saying how much I owe for the monthly payments, nor when it is due. Why is this?

Log into self serve and make sure you've turned on the option to have text notifications sent when your bill is ready each month.
I am signed up for them, I used to get them all the way until March and then they stopped but it still says I'm receiving them...

I think Koodo was having issues with the notifications a few months ago but if you want it fixed, perhaps call customer service to see what's happening? 1-866-995-6636
