It's actually very simple. If you just signed up for koodo and this is your first bill that would explain the difference. All phone companies charge a month in advance and your first bill includes the partial month (from the date you activated to the date of your billing cycle) and a full month. It's called proration. Totally normal. This also happens if you switch plans mid bill cycle. Koodo has this short video that may explain it beteer than I did. http://help.koodomobile.com/help-videos/koodo-101/your-first-bill

Then look for additional charges as you may have used more minutes, data or something that increased your bill. If you screen grab you invoice and uploaded it here (minus your personals) we can help to explain.

Hi Cody, If this is your first bill then it's due to proration. Your bill included the time from activation to your first billing cycle and then from your first billing cycle to the next. It's becuase Koodo Bills in advance (as does every carrier). Koodo knew this could be a bit confusing so they created a whole page along with a video to show you how it works Check it out here: http://help.koodomobile.com/my-bill/charges-explained/charges-on-your-first-bill

Chris got it right. Starting from next month, your bill will be back to $40, provided you don't exceed your plan usage.

So if this is your second bill, check on page 3 for what the charges are for. It's likely you went over your plan limits
I have checked page 3 and I understand now thank so much for the help people have a great day

Cool. Just out of curiosity... What was the culprit? Data or minutes?
