Hello, dose anybody have an explanation of how or why the advertised “cap/ limit” on my plan,

is between 2 & 3 (?)  KB, for the $45/month Canada Wide Base Plan.

But when I check my online account, then go to “chat” it is only then I discover,

that I my plan limit is actually 3072 MB (?), W.T.F.  ??

How is it, that , this wasn’t made {crystal clear!} to me when I signed, on with Koodo ?

I’v been, needlessly apprehensive of using my phone, even for just calling,

because I created, the checked my status, only to see that I’d gone slightly over the

3 KB “limit” , which now know is not the true cap/limit, what gives???

Where do you see 3kb limit?

Can you post a screenshot?

It's most likely 3GB in your plan. If it's really saying 3kb, it's a strange glitch.

Can you post a screen shot of where it says the limit is between 2 and 3kb? This sounds very strange indeed

Just to clarify, the 3,072 MB of data you see is the equivalent of 3 GB. That is the amount you should be seeing.

I’m not sure why it is only showing 3 KB on your Self-Serve account. You should contact a Koodo rep by scheduling a callback through Koodo Assist or sending a message on Facebook Messenger or Twitter.

Hello to Milwaukee, Dennis,  and Mayumi,

and thanks for catching me on my KB-GB, mistake, it is indeed GB,

the printed hang-out reads 2 GB, but when checking my online account,

that, "No Shock" limit (?), indicates 3 GB.

To reiterate, when inquiring with chat, that's when I learned that my

data limit is apparently 3072MB .

But until I'm completely comfortable with what I'm looking at, how much I'll  be paying

for, until then my phone is staying off!

Yes, I did try and contact the rep. that assisted with transferring cell service providers, and was put on hold until, it went to dial tone, and no follow-up-return call.

Thanks again to all who took the time to respond.

BB4 now, G.B.U.

@FelineAficionado Your monthly data allowance is indeed 3gb with your plan. The service agreement that you received from the store where you activated has is stated as well:

Hope this helps1

Bernard.

I've looked through my copy of my sales agreement, and there's no

mention of 3GB, anywhere in it.

But I was going by a pamphlet, that I was given by a  shopping mall's Koodo sales

kiosk, whilst shopping around in order to change cell service providers.

Which in hindsight I'm  beginning to regret and I maybe doing again

if loose anymore confidence with Koodo.

In that pamphlet under the $45/month Canada Wide Base Plan, indicates

2GB Data(3) under "Fee per 30 days column.

After I was able to setup my online! Koodo account, I was surprised that, first

I was entitled to 3 GB, but, in only a 3 day period, I’d somehow used up 3GB ?

That's when I began to be concerned, what have I done?

So, today I wanted to talk with a Koodo customer service representative,

especially after the "chat-bot" (for lack of a better term), messages  me,

confusing information that my data limit is 3,072 MB (?)… W.T.F. ?

Plus  then Koodo Community, "comment contributor"  is responding back that,

3,072 MB is the same as 3GB, that much I know isn't correct.

I have other means of  online access,  so, lesson  learned;

be happy with what you have.

Plans change all the time. What's the date on the bottom of the pamphlet? Plans can change daily so you're best off to rely based off of what the website says.

The website, chat bot, and a Koodo rep have all confirmed that you indeed have 3GB. What else would you like to confirm that you do have what you have?😊

Im not sure if you saying "isn't correct" was a typo or not but you can take to Google. 3GB is indeed the same as saying 3072MB.

1 GB IS 1024 MB, therefore 3 GB is 3072 MB. The reason for this is buried in the vagaries of binary coded memory addressing and it's actually immaterial.

If you just arrived up in the past few days, the reason your self serve shows less than  3 GB available is that the data is prorated based on the number of days between your activation date and the end of your first billing cycle.

e.g. 3072 MB/30 days in a month is 102.4 MB per day. If there are 6 days between your activation date and your billing date you will have  102.4 MB * 6 days, or 614.4 MB available. Starting with your first full month of service you will have the full 3GB of data available to use each month.

In the end, choosing to be upset because your plan actually includes 50% more data than you thought it did seems like kind of a weird flex, but, whatever rubs your Buddha.

Timo Tuokkola.

Thank you for your explanation,  ever heard the expression;

"Tilting at windmills", but I  my defense, I did call the Koodo customer service representative who did my transfer and activation.

I was asked for a moment so he could check something, waited until  the call

went to dialtone, no attempt to callback ?

The date on the pamphlet is 18 Feb. 2021

Again

Thanks for the education

@FelineAficionado You opened your account in May at an authorized dealer. The first page of your service agreement is where you will find the description of the plan you took out at the time. Please see below what it would look like:

Everything you are asking is noted/confirmed in your Self Serve.

Have you successfully logged into your self serve account yet?

Dennis, thanks for the response, I was able to locate and download the

actual  5 page service agreement, the single page sales invoice was what

I'd been referring to.

Yes, it clearly states I have 3 GB of data available, and yes I am now

cognizant that 1 Gigabyte is equivalent to 1,000

As suggestion to whomever at Koodo, that dose the graphics for the

Self-Serve web pages.

That they consider adjusting within the data consumption "circle",

and add the {GB} an individuals, maximum available limit, and

if possible, just below, ones actual usage.

As it now appears to me, it's a bit confusing

Thank You very much to everyone, that helped me.

But that's what it does show. Mine, for example currently shows that I've used 2952 MB out of a total of 8192 MB available:

@FelineAficionado can you post an image of what you are seeing that is confusing to you?
