Extra charge from KOODO AIRTIME SCARBOROUGH ON


I was charged 10$ on my credit card from KOODO AIRTIME SCARBOROUGH ON but the fee doesn't appear on my bill or billing history. I spent an hour on the phone with someone from Koodo and they have no idea who took that money because it doesn't appear in their system. Has this ever happen to anyone else?

If you're trying to insinuate that that is why (the fee for calling in to make a change), it still doesn't make sense that her credit card was charged.

Yeah, my credit card is charged $50.48 for Koodo Airtime Scarborough, ON. I'm not sure what this means. I'd better contact Koodo & my credit card company. Thank you so much for this discussion/conversation.

Wendy, that would most likely be your regular bill that automatically charged the credit card via pre-authorized payments.

What I don't get is why am I charged for airtime? All my incoming & outgoing calls were made in Toronto, ON or Scarborough, ON. I don't know; I don't get it.

Koodo = Company Airtime = Division of the company Scarborogh = the location the company operates payment from. It does not matter if your calls where made from england, it will always appear as KOODO AIRTIME SCARBOROGH

Wendy, I have seen similar posts  like this before - Credit card charged under "KOODO AIRTIME xxx". I don't know what bank you are using, but I thought Bernard's reply might help you...

My family has two accounts with Virgin and one with Fido. We don't have an account with Koodoo. Yet we also received a bill for $250 Canadian identified only as "Koodoo Airtime Scarborough"

Unfortunately, although KOODOO's web site is very well design to help customers, it is hopeless when a non-customer tries to find a phone number or email for submitting a complaint.

You can find the phone number for Koodo on the contact page, or just google "Koodo Phone Number" it'll appear right away.

Is this amount match with your Koodo phone bill? Do you have auto pay set up with your credit card? If not, I would contact Koodo through FB message.

I don't even have a Koodo account anymore. I cancelled it 3-4 years ago

Then, I would definitely contact them and ask them to investigate. If you don't have an account with Koodo anymore, sending private message to them would be better than calling in.

I would contact your credit card company. This charge doesnt appear to be one that comes from Koodo.

If Koodo can't honestly tell you what that charge is for or that they can't "find it", then I'd call your credit card company and request a chargeback. At that point, your credit card company will handle everything and either Koodo WILL find out why you were charged and tell you (tell your credit card company who will tell you) or you get your $10 back. 

Since you even called and asked and they didn't provide a reason or any information, that's what I'd do right away at this point

Yes this is my next step. Koodo is investigating but I know that I will have more success with the credit card people (I only called Koodo because my bank told me to do so).

I too just had this done only my charge was for $123.  Koodo Airtime Scarborough.  Considering it is a new credit card and Koodo doesn't have it in any way shape or form, also the fact that the cc company told me Koodos charges do not show up as Koodo Airtime.... I would have to say this is fraudulent. My credit card company is looking after it.  Just curious what credit company are you with?

A charge for 123? That's bizzare. What are the odds on that, other than a gas station or.gift card purchase.
