Hi, I no longer need my Koodo plan and would like to cancel it, but there appears to be no way to cancel it besides calling the help line which has a longer than 1 hour wait time according to the automated message on it! Surely there must be an easier way of cancelling. I've visited a Koodo location but they tell me that I have to call the help line. Why is there no other way of cancelling? How can you expect your customers to waste an hour waiting on hold? I'm tempted to just remove my credit card from the file and let the phone roll off. Could someone please suggest an easier way of doing this?

I'm afraid you have no choice but to call them... hopefully you'll get the "call back" offer which lightens the wait a little. Removing your credit card won't work - your plan will continue, your bills will run up and you'll ruin your credit.
Another way to cancel is to port out your number to another provider, or even prepaid and then let that expire. No penalties for that and no need to call
