Data usage confusion


Hello Koodo community, I am a new customer, I am looking at my account summary right now, Under "national wide data" it says I used up 73/300 MB BUT under data usage summary it says Data usage count is at 325 MB. So my question is, why is there a difference in data usage summary and national wide data? Thanks!

Hello Alfred, Usually there are some types of Data that is counted but does not really count towards your bill.

You should totally follow the top one. A neat way to double check too is by expanding the data summary to detailed, so you can check to see if you were charged somehow.

From the looks of it the large data amount relates to the fact that you sent 4 pics. You must have unlimited messaging on your account and that comes free picture messages but it seems that it still counts your data just to let you know. But definitely follow the NationWide as that is what show what you are gonna be charged for.

You say that you're a new customer, how long have you been with Koodo? Newly activated accounts get ten days of unlimited data, so that could be when you used the extra data.
