I currently have a "shock free" data plan that includes 500 MB + 500 MB bonus = 1000MB total data.
Received the koodo text your data limit has been reached (1024 MB) and data service has been suspended. Also received the koodo text saying data has been re-enabled due to start of a new billing cycle. However there was a $5 data overage charge for the extra 24 MB of data usage.
It appears the automated system default setting is for 1 GB = 1024 MB, however the plan is for 1000 MB thus data does get limited, but not to the plan setting.
I have emailed a complaint about this to Koodo last week and am waiting for a response to correct this billing issue as well as setting the data limit to the correct value. I recommend anyone else on the 500 MB + 500 MB plan to watch their account statements until this is corrected.
