Hello Koady, yes you can escalate your bill to Koodo.

Hi there Koady... If you don't need data on your phone you can disable it, Go to settings, then more, then mobile networks and then make sure you have the "Use packet data" OFF... like this your phone will not connect to the 4G network... Just call Customer Service, expose your case to them and as a one time courtesy most likely you will be credited... The most important thing is that the data is off to avoid future charges...

But you said you did use data. Why would they credit you then?

Hi Zeta, Koodo is usually quite lenient and if Koady explains the data was used without realizing it, they might make an exception. Especially since Koady has since switched off data altogether 🙂 Mind you, Koodo [i]might not do it, but it won't hurt to ask!

I hope you asked the rep about this or he/she explained how the data works on your new phone/plan versus your old phone/plan so you could have avoided the issue.
Why don't people do they homework? Then when they make a mistake, they want someone else to pay for it.

Hey Brian, things happen, not everyone is an expert especially when moving from one platform to another. There's always a learning curve. I myself accidently used 75% of my monthly data allowance in one day. It was my fault so I just bit the bullet. Let's try to keep in mind there are all different levels of users. Let's just stick to trying to help each other instead of pointing out faults. Happy Answerings
I am not saying everybody is an expert I'm simply saying people should do the research when they get a new platform then mistakes will Be minimized.
