Does this really need a new thread? Couldn't this have just been added to the original question? I mean, if every time someone posts a question and it results in creating a new "idea" thread almost simultaneously, that's going to get pretty old pretty quick...

Arent ideas and questions 2 different things? I thought Koodo does a more thorough review of ideas to consider. They just ignore questions after they have been flagged as answered. Just because a question has been answered doesnt mean I dont want the idea to not be considered anymore. I'll delete the post if I am mistaken and ideas in questions are brought up for consideration as well

Hey Dennis, You're absolutely right. This is the place to include your idea. Keep doing what you're doing. The team is actually discussing your suggestion internally. 🙂

*moi aussi This is actually all the french I know. I was able to fake my way at a bar chatting up a girl pretending I know french just by using only this phrase 😛

Another customer just brought this up and it's definitely a good idea.
I am wondering that too - why can't we cancel online? I hate spending time on the phone. And its not even an option on the phone under pre-authorized payments, either.. you have to press 0.. And - why do I have to give my email to some unrelated sketchy company Login.GetSatisfaction.com, just to post this!? This is ridiculous.

There really is no official answer for your question. Bailey, have you done your research on this "sketchy" company? I know for a fact the answer is no otherwise you would not have said "sketchy". GetSatisfaction is a company that Koodo uses to host its community. This community is hosted by GetSatisfaction.

I always have a secondary email for junk when you need to sign up for stuff and they ask for an email. I highly recommend it.

Hey L Bailey (and everyone),

We completely agree that customers should have the option to stop pre-authorized payment on Self Serve. [b]It makes senses to us and it's definitely on our list of ideas that are being looking into. It's just a matter of how complex the change is in the back-end and how quickly we can make that change.

Ahmad - 3rd party companies employed by Koodo (& others) are exactly what I would describe as sketchy. Dennis - I did use my secondary junk email, which is not so terrible, but I was forced to agree to give them some "basic info" associated with it..!! This is ridiculous.

Get Sat are not employed by koodo, koodo pays to use their service like every other company in the world they use others services. Get Sat is at the top of their respective area of service & is well trusted. If you dont want to give out info then I suggest you dont use the Internet because your infois already out there as soon as you sign up for email, social apps, purchases, anything & everything.

L Bailey: That's how forums work. If you want to post, you need to provide details. Said details will change based on the type of forum. As long as you keep to the basics, you have nothing to worry about.

Virtual star Dennis
Financials banks allow you to do this online, I don't see why Koodo cannot do this either.
I just found out this is a problem, which is why all the attempts at changing my pre-paid info didn't work. If this does NOT work you HAVE to remove it from the options on the self serve screen. I don't remember my PIN number to talk to someone on the phone, TO MAKE A PAYMENT even. I couldn't verify that my pre-paid is correct now or not, and the phone is just cut off. A whole year for this to get fixed is not acceptable for a company that says everything can be done online. Either make it right or take the option off your menu because it's very deceiving if it doesn't work. What happens if the phone gets cut off while in an emergency. Lots of people depend on the phone even if I don't.

What are you talking about? Are you locked out of your prepaid self serve? If you forget your PIN, they should have alternative ways to confirm your account. However prepaid could be difficult. Otherwise, setting up prepauth payments with Koodo very easy. Meaning no phones should be cut off. It's cancelling the pre-auth that requires calling in

From the beginning, my wife was set up as the account holder instead of me. I tried changing but it could not be done. So I have to wait for her to call the office instead to confirm the change in credit cards.. however since then I have received email confirmations of the credit card change and payment which I never got when I changed the card info on line. Didn't know to expect a confirmation email because I never got one for any other pre-auths that I changed. So in the finish, I wasn't able to change the pre-auth info online. Once my old one was removed (someone must have done it cause the credit card won't work finally, which another whole problem) and then I was able to set up a new one easily online. So you are right, it is easy, but the problem is when people think the change worked when it didn't.
