Billing Woes!


Hi everyone, I need help with my bill. I recently moved to PEI and had to change my plan mid october to include more phone time minutes so I wouldn't be slapped with yet another ridiculously sized bill. I am under the impression that the bill I receive on the first of every month is for the previous month's usage. I.e. October 1st bill charges me for September's usage. I just received my November 1st bill, thinking it would charge me for October, but it is charging me for both October's usage AND November 2-December 1 usage when typically I wouldn't be billed for November's usage until December 1st. Why am I being billed for two months at one time? Thanks for your help

You're always billed one month in advance. This particular bill is prorated and that's why it looks confusing. You're billed partly under your old plan and partly under your new plan.

You plan is billed 1 month in advance but your usage (overage part) is charged 1 month behind

You're not being billed for 2 months, you simply changed your rate plan mid-cycle and so that is proration, just like when you first signed up. It gives you a credit for your old plan from the date you changed the plan to your bill cycle date and then you'll get charges for the same date period. Look on page 3 of your bill. It will show details of what happened. If there's anything you think is still out of whack, show us (with your personal info covered). Then we'll determine what the issue is and you can call customer service to get it rectified.
Thanks for your quick replies. That makes sense, it was just confusing. My next bill then should NOT be billing me for November 2 to December 1 then, since I'm being billed now for it?

Yup. Your next bill should show the regular dates/price (unless you change it or go over again).

Your next bill will include your USAGE charges for Nov 2-Dec 1 and your PLAN charges for Dec 2-Jan 1.
