Billed for International roaming but didn't leave Canada. What's Koodo's phone number?

While in Victoria BC, I kept losing my connection. After many tries, I finally got a connection. Now I'm home, got my eBill and find out that my connection came through Port Angeles in the US and now I'm charged International roaming charges of $ 37.10 Of course I don't want to pay that. I never left Victoria. Who can I call to discuss this? Koodo doesn't seem to have a phone.

hmm....sounds like a signal tower bleed issue.....as odd as it may sound....best to contact both the CRTC and FCC to have them come and checkout the signal bleed issue...could turn out to be a common issue for cell users with all carriers on both sides of the border

yeah this is actually a very common issue and not strange at all. all carriers have their own internal policies on how to handle situations like this and for people living in bordering towns/cities to the US.

A rep shouldn't have a rpbolem credited the charges. But to avoid this happening again, go into your phones mobile network settings and change it from automatic to manual. It will start searching when you choose manual, Koodo should eventually come up, choose that. This way it forces your phone to stay on Koodo's network.
Thanks everybody. I called the 866 number and talked to a guy in San Salvador!!! He was pleasant to talk to, extremely helpful and credited my bill with the roaming charges (even the GST). Thanks all, for your advice.

Don't forget to do what Ahmad told you so it doesn't happen again!
Thanks Robert, this is an old Motorola flip phone (that's all my wife wanted. I have a BB, Z10, honest!!) The Koodo guy set it up and gave me some numbers to punch in so the phone will not roam. That's okay with me. When leaving the country we usually punch in a code in order to get roaming (texting) at a reduced cost.
