Bill charged to Credt Card almost 2 weeks early...

Am I the only one experiencing this? It says my Bill date is the 30th of this month and yet I was billed on the 19th. Kinda frustrated

Pre authorized payments are taken a bit early to ensure the account is updated in time. I understand your frustration but it's much better to pay early than late!

,I for one think its not right that koodoo takes out payments before the payment date, no one does this when paying pre authorized payments...what koodoo should do instead is change the date on the pre authorized payment dates if they are so worried about the "account being updated in time" then to have the customer Unaware when the payments will be withdrawn. This is an absurd business practice. Also, pre-authorized payments are not considered late payments but on time, as you mentioned there in your last sentence.
This is the first time this has happened in 6 yrs

Don't know what else to tell you, friend. I guess you could take it off pre authorized payments and then try re-adding it, or maybe leaving it off pre authorized and then just making a calendar notification to pay it? Or maybe set up automatic payments at a specific date from your credit card company's end instead of Koodo.

It happened to me too. Upon inquiring they told me they adjusted when the charge hits credit cards so customers whose card for some reason don't go through have more days cover their invoice rather than being cut off. I don't know if this is now going to be standard though. I suppose it will be.

It took me 3 months to notice they changed it to two weeks early. It used to be a few days early.

Koodo has changed the way preauthorized payments are made, you should have received a notification of this change. The reason it was changed was due to the majority were inquiring regarding transactions errors, insufficient funds and to avoid late payment fees. From now on, your preauthorized payments will be done 10-11 days before the due date of your billing cycle.

The Terms of serivce of the pre-authorized payments agree meets does state that the pre-authorized payment could occur at any point after the bill was generated. There was no fixed date in the agreement.
Ah, well I did not get a notification
Didn't get a notification either. I contacted them about this and I got a very confusing email: "For the month of June, we pulled forward your monthly charge date from 25 days after your bill date to 15 days after your bill date. Unfortunately, we experienced system issues that caused us to revert back to our old process of withdrawing 25 days after your bill date. Your withdrawal amount remains unaffected; we're sorry for any confusion this may have caused. Starting on your next bill, the new pre-authorized payment process of 15 days after your bill date will begin again." *scratches head* So is it 25 days or 15 days now? I was charged on the following days. May 02, 2014 Jun 02, 2014 Jun 23, 2014 Aug 05, 2014 Aug 25, 2014 I just got off the phone with billing and they insist that it's normal that I've been charged on completely different days for June and August. I tried to tell the lady from billing that it's not fair to make your customers pay 15 days after as opposed to 25 days after because I'm paying for 10 days of service in advance that I'm not getting so I asked for a credit on the difference of those days--nothing. I ask what the EXACT day that my bill is supposed to fall on and she couldn't tell me. I told her I would just wait it out and see... with the hopes that it would fix itself (like I did before and try to calm down). I was supposed to go on vacation this weekend but this unexpected charge caught me off guard because I thought I already paid at the start of the month--it was sort of my bus money. Well, I'm officially frustrated with Koodo because I haven't had this issue with Telus or Virgin Mobile. Typically my payment date stays the same and I don't have to guess when I'm getting charged.

Based on what you are showing us it should be the 25th of every month from here on. We went through the same but then it all worked out fine.
