Bigger bill than expected.....explanation needed....please help..


Both my wife and I pay our monthly bills online but she paid her bill very near to due date and even received message that if she didn't pay ASAP she would gave to pay reconnection charge. She paid it right away BUT this month her bill is $ 112.00 should be 36.75....?? Can't find why on account usage etc? Please help anyone out there....thanks in advance

Hi there... Check you bill on the Self Service account, but most important, check the amount due, probably when the bill was produced, Koodo had not received the payment yet. So, log in, under E-bill check for the monthly charges for the specific number and try to see if there is something wrong with the bill...

Since there are two numbers on the account, you would want to open the ebill and go to the "Individual Detail" sections for each number.
Hi, thanks for reply. We have checked all usages and she hasn't exceeded her limits. The e-Bill says 112.00 too....but there's no mention of extra charges?? Thanks... Bal

Read my above post. I guarantee you will see the issue. Also, on the first page, it will show you the past payments if any were received on the last bill.

As stated above there will be a section listed as last payments received. If it says 0 then the payment you sent isn't reflecting the balance and just substract the balance fromt he payment you sent. That will give you the total of your current bill.
Hi Tyler, We actually have separate contracts at the moment.....but I will go back into her account again now to double check everything.......if only there was somewhere it said why bigger bill.... Thanks Bal

"Account Detail" would be the page then since you mentioned they are separate accounts. Usually that would be page 3 of the bill

I'm sure it says why! 🙂 You can upload an image of your bill (minus the personal info) and we can tell you in seconds what may be the reason.
Hi guys! Yup found where it shows itemised calls made and in fact she exceeded her limit for minutes......not surprised now that I think about it.......:) Not really used to the fact that we are charged even for receiving calls here in Canada........it's a scam to us anyway...........I will change her contract to unlimited I think...... Remember rate plan changes causes proration! We bill you for your change until the end of your cycle plus 1 month in advance! So keep in mind your bill will be slightly bigger next month which is normal for any changes to your account. (telephone # change,rate plan change,new activation) If your account is delinquient status your past due balance would probably have to post prior to making this rate plan change.

If she received a message that if she didn't pay ASAP she would gave to pay reconnection charges she did not pay close to the due date, she paid AFTER the due date. The e-bill only updates when the bill is generated. The current balance due will be shown on the billing overview page.
