are calls from 519 area code (Windsor) to 313 and 248 (SE Michigan) considered local or long distance?

The Mobile Shop rep said that they are local, but I can't find confirmation on the Koodo website. Thanks much.

If you are calling the US, that would be long distance

The Windsor Expanded Local Calling Area includes Windsor, Leamington, Detroit, Ann Arbor, Monroe, Flint and Port Huron. Calls made or received within the ELCA will not be charged roaming or long distance.

The Windsor Expanded Local Calling Area includes Windsor, Leamington, Detroit, Ann Arbor, Monroe,...No. Only Detroit Susan.

Every time this happens to me I have to call Koodo to get the charge reversed and they claim at first that they know nothing about this Roam Free Zone!  When I signed up they said it went from Port Huron to Flint to Ann Arbor to Monroe!

Local calling area, and roam-free would be two different issues. Once you connect to an international carrier’s network infrastructure, you would be roaming.
