Great news! Koodo launched Outbound Calling Name Display (OCND), which enables customers that add the feature to have their account name displayed with their number when they place an outgoing call.

What’s changing?

Currently, customers are able to see the phone number and name of people calling them, but they are only able to have their number displayed when they place an outgoing call.

Customers who wish to display their account name when they call are now able to add the optional Outbound Calling Name Display feature.

For more information see our Outbound Calling Name Display help page.

This service does not work for 2nd phone number and user sharing the same account. When added, this option display the original user instead of the new user. Moreover, the new phone subscription is already registered to the new user!

Tried to switch the AddOn on and off but nothing changed to remedy this shortfall.

If you click the link at the bottom of this post it'll take you to see more information which shows the above image. Only the account holders name can be shown.

Thanks for the comment Allan.

If this is a known issue, how is it that Koodo webmasters have not removed it as an option for 2nd number Add-On?

Moreover, this issue should be noted up front, so a second user knows when considering this service level, they won't be able to show their name displayed when dialing out. As a result, they could choose to open a new account instead of riding the Koodo Side-Car incognito.
