Wrong tab amount.

Earlier this year my phone broke, I did not get the loaner phone the woman said i would and waited for a replacement. i asked what it would cost to pay off the tab and leave koodo as with my job I cannot be without a cell. The gentleman told me $185. I ended up staying, and got a replacement. I pay 15 a month in tab and was expecting around 70 left but when i checked it says i owe 220 dollars in tab... Why?

When you bought the phone originally, how much did you put on your tab?

Have you ever suspended your services or put it on seasonal hold?

Sounds like your remaining tab balance was $285 at that time. What phone did you purchase and when did you purchase It?
I don't recall the original amount. The phone is about 2 years old... It's an LG G4. And I've never done a seasonal hold or anything. Its used daily

I would go back and look at your bills for he past year. Each bill will display the tab balance for that month.

I can't find a tab history, and when I go back 3 months it just shows the -15 charge for the tab.

If your phone (LG G4?) was 2 years old, then the remaining tab balance would be only few tens.

I don't think the Koodo agent gave you a replacement. the phone was properly out of warranty already. He just upgraded your phone, the $220 was properly the cost of the new upgraded phone + your monthly rateplan

Could you mind posting the detail of the $220 (delete all the personal information like phone number, your name...)

My old G3 crapped out when it was out of warranty and they canceled the tab and set me up with a new G4 but it crapped out on me while under warranty and they sent out a replacement. This one is glitching and sluggish, even tho there is plenty of storage remaining. I think I might just leave koodo and go with eastlink, my friend has great luck with his iPhone thru them.

Hi Valen - It looks like you purchased your LG G4 back in February. At that time, you still owed about $94 on your previous tab, which was waived as an upgrade bonus, and a new tab was created to be paid off over 24 months, at $15/mth. Going by all this, the current outstanding tab amount is correct.
So why was it only 185 dollars owed when my last G4 crapped out?

You asked "what it would cost to pay off the tab and leave koodo".
So, I guess $185 could be your Tab balance and your service fee included since you mntioned you will cancel your service.

But you stayed and upgrade your phonr on new Tab. So,Koodo waived $94 Tab balance and you started a new tab for your new phone

To clarify a little more

Earlier this year my phone broke, I did not get the loaner phone the woman said i would and waited for a replacement. i asked what it would cost to pay off the tab and leave koodo as with my job I cannot be without a cell. The gentleman told me $185.

That was for the G3 plus plan + any overages.

But then you got the G4 so a new tab was started that has nothing to do with the tab owing for the G3
You are correct about the new tab with my first G4, but this is my second G4, my first one crapped out under warranty and that's when I was told I had 185 total left owing if I was to walk away from koodo.

"185 total left owing if I was to walk away from koodo."
It sound like included all the fee because you asked if you cancel.
 $94 Tab + your plan + overage if any + Tax = $185
The 94 dollar tab was from when the G3 crapped out. Which was wavered when they set me up with a G4. That G4 crapped out and that is when the balance was 185 to walk away from koodo. It was under warranty and I stayed and received my current G4 as replacement. The G3 tab is completely unrelated

Can you Login to Self serve and check your E-bill from February , March and even April too?
There should be info about "Opening Tab balance", "Tab charge"...etc.
You can see how much you pay into your Tab and deduct from the Tab balance.

Then, if you seethe part that doesn't match up or doesn't make sense, you can take screenshots and post it here without personal info.   We should be able to explain.

Im getting confused here Valen.  Can you give us Month and year for each event in this sequence of events?
Well I just ran thru my bills and they all show that 220 would be the accurate tab. The gentleman I was speaking with on the phone must have given me the wrong total.
