Yes it works

Hi Dennis, is this applicable also for prepaid plan like for example 15 dollar unlimited text, I am planning to move to koodo from Bell, I am on 35 plus 5 internet prepaid plan in Bell and it seems not worth it as I am not even close to 300MB on 1GB data even on unlimited call, what adds on booster plan you recommend.

Yes this will work on Prepaid too as it is a basic texting service run by Winnipeg Transit

@Viesonic viewpad: since you indicated that you're interested in Winnipeg Transit Bus, I'm assuming you live in Manitoba? Even with little usage, why not take advantage of the prairie plan?
Hi Titaniumtux, yes I am living in Manitoba, what is prairie plan?

With a Manitoba cellphone number, you can get unlimited talk/text/5GB data for $48 per month (plus 911 fees and tax). This plan is exclusive to those who have phone numbers from Manitoba or Saskatchewan.

As you aren't even peaking 300MB I would suggest a cheaper plan for you, as good of a deal the "prairie plan" is.
You can view the prepaid plans like you mentioned above here:

@Allan, your link is broken.
There may be other factors than just usage. OP may prefer post-paid to maintain a good credit rating, subsidize phones on a tab, etc.

Weird, the link works fine for me.  Koodo's website is having issues with some browsers so that might be your problem.
Also they were the ones that mentioned prepaid above, that's why I gave the link.

Thanks a lot for all inputs, I just need to maintain the prepaid plan 15 Unlimited Text & Picture Messaging, and add booster, I can still save more bucks as these booster add-ons are not expiring. I am only using data outside for navigation, at most of the time I am at office with wifi and at home as well. Thanks again for all the answers.

Try Here Maps, or my personal favourite for navigation, Copilot. Both hold the maps on your device, rather than downloading them on the fly. No cellular data needed.
