Will Koodo fix my phone??


I upgraded my phone to a moto x play last week. 2 days ago my cat knocked it on the floor... The screen cracked and now the top speaker won't work. Will Koodo replace it as its still within 14 days? Or do i have to pay? Thanks!

Unless you took the extended warranty, you are on your own to replace this phone. Manufacturer's warranty doesn't cover physical damage.

Just a side note but the Moto X Play only has 1 single front facing speaker at the bottom of the device so the top "speaker" wasn't damaged as there is no speaker there

I'm not trying to be rude or anything.  But If something happens to your phone. And you didn't take the ext warranty from the provider.  Then, if something happens to your phone.  You have to call the manufacturer.  It's like if your TV breaks.  You won't call your cable provider to see if they will replace it for you.  Just my 2 cents.

Actually with koodo you have an advantage to go through the carrier for warranty service. Free shipping from the kiosk Loaner phones Personal service

I've used Koodo Kiosk. The speed of service and smoothness of process, is second only to Auto Body Shop, to car rental transition and back.

Having said that the issue was Samsung S2x software. Phone was locked to frozen screen and to turn it off, battery had to be removed. And that's the differences.

All phone Manufacturers, know that cats' can break phones, but cats cannot reprogram phones, because the physical size of their paws, does not allow it.

This is the position that Phone Manufacturers inflict upon Carriers to retrain, Carrier Customers and their cats and is as old, as Mel Lasmans' nostalgic, Bad Boys days.

The days when your mom and dad (if your turning 57 this year) had the option to purchase the extended, television warantee that garenteed, that if you drove under a Toronto Hydro Power Line, to get your TV home, and once at home, the TV did not work, because of the Electrical Magnetic Toronto Hydro Power Lines - your mom and dad would get the brand new, 26" solid state, color TV replaced, FOR FREE!

Manufactures and Insurance Companys always pass nostalgia on to the new generations. It costs them nothing to make billions.

Maybe your credit card has an extended warranty protection for 3 months. I know mine does and it covers accidental damage or theft. It's called "Purchase Security and Extended Warranty Protection"
