Wifi calling and VoLTE please!!!

please add wifi calling and VoLTE to your network!!!

VoLTE is being worked on. I wish I had a better answer but Koodo has been "working on it" for nearly a year now so who even knows. As for Vowifi I think Koodo won't be doing it but not sure. I'd need to double check on that.

Virgin mobile and fido have VoiceLTE and wifi-calling features for a while.
VoiceLTE is a natural progression of technology and should be free for applicable devices.
Virgin and fido has Wifi-calling feature free for all canada-wide plan.

I don't see any reasons for koodo to charge more but to improve the quality to compete with other.

How about the value to Koodo offloading tower traffic to the internet or not being forced to rely on 3g and 4g for service, freeing up bandwidth? Not everything needs to be monetized and I don't know of many carriers that charge customers extra for VoLTE or WiFi precisely because it lowers operating costs.

Koodo please bring wifi calling soon for we can use our cellphones where we have poor cellphone service after all we pay our bills to so why can't we have better service in areas where the towers are not close enough to get good cellphone service wifi calling would be great and there would be around 500 people in our community who would benefit from the wifi calling

OK just a question couple of months ago i had wifi calling on my phone lgg4 and my phone did a update and my wifi calling disappeared now was that koodo that did that and if so when they bring wifi calling will they restall another update on our phones to bring back the wifi calling app again thanks

How did you have WiFi calling when Koodo doesn't offer it? Please post a new thread for different problems - it's easier to see and you typically get a faster response that way.

I had in my phone like a lot of other people and we all got an update and it was gone and how do you make a new thread for the next time

I think vowifi on LG G4 was experimental. No need to bring it back, as LG G4 is End of Life. Customers who grabbed the last few handsets from 3rd party dealers get their one year warranty until June next year, but probably no more software updates or security patches. That being said, I doubt anything will be brought back to the LG G4.

My Koodo Samsung Galaxy S9 got VoLTE and Wi-Fi Calling last week. Koodo only documented this on their Software Update Schedule page. All their other pages still need to be updated to reflect this.

WHen VOLTE and wifi calling is enabled for new devices, is there going to be a firmware update to activate the feature on the devices ?

There was a software update last week for my Samsung Galaxy S9. This matched Koodo's Software Update Schedule website:

I've been trying to set up Wi-Fi calling all day but I keep getting error "The number entered doesn't match our records. Please re-enter your number." Not sure how to go about fixing this. It worked fine on my iPhone but just switched to the S9 and can't get it to work. Any ideas ?

See if the thread below helps you to get WiFi calling on your S9. Not sure where you are that you are having to enter a number.

When you go to Self Serve and log into your account, what do you see under Mobile Services? Do you see "Koodo VoLTE Access"? If you don't see this, both Wi-Fi Calling and VoLTE will not work on your S9.

I had to get a Koodo customer service agent to add "Koodo VoLTE Access" to my account to get my S9 working.
