why is my phone alerting me of an unregistered sim card?


Unregistered sim card?

Your SIM card may be faulty. Power off your phone, remove the battery and SIM. Put them back and power on your phone. If you still don't get registered, head down to your nearest Koodo kiosk so that they can try a different card.

Hi brittany, The usual reason is you've accidentally activated "2G only" or "gsm only" mode Goto settings--- wireless and network ---mobile network Check those settings.

That shouldn't throw out a registration error though. It should just say "no service" if that was the case. Still another good point and it won't hurt to try.

The galaxy ace and ace ii will both give that message if that mode is on.

Depends on the phone. The galaxy ace always showed unregistered sim when 'use only 2g networks' was activated.
