Why can't I receive texts? (Samsung Galaxy X II)

Originally, I had the messaging app, and never had any problems with it until very recently. Then, a few days ago, it just "stopped." So I downloaded a new app for texting called Chomp SMS. Occasionally it would work and I could receive texts, but now, I can't at all. I can send texts, and people will see them, but when they reply, I don't receive it. Is there something wrong with my service provider, or could it just be the app? Thanks in advance.

Hi Jacqueline, I found one possible solution, try this: Try tapping on your message icon, tap the menu key to the left of the centre Home button, tap the Settings icon that appears and under Multimedia message limit, increase the default value from 20 to 30. You may also have a picture message that may be "stuck" on the server. You may want to give tech support a call to see if they can resolve this issue for you. I believe the term used is "clear the switch" to purge or delete any stuck SMS/MMS messages. This solution was posted by rikkster in this thread: http://community.koodomobile.com/koodo/topics/sms_and_mms_not_sending_on_galaxy_ace Hope that sorts it for you as well 🙂
