Why are the pre owned phone such a rip off now?


Why are the pre owned phone such a rip off now? My current phone is a pre owned Nexus 4 that I paid $90 for outright. Why can't I buy the pre owned LG G3 for $240 outright (equal to $10 a month for 24 months). It's so unfair that if I want to buy it out right than I have to pay $360 for it. Koodo is really sticking it to their loyal customers, the phone prices and plans suck now. The new tab system is really unfair for pre existing customers. I miss having the $150 credit towards a new phone and than paying whatever the balance was.  I will be shopping around and not staying with Koodo!

Who told you that you can't buy the LG? If you want to buy it at 240 just put it on a tab and tough it out for 90 days, then pay it off. The tab discount they are giving is a sale. And a pretty good one. Take advantage.
I just read on the Koodo website that to buy the pre owned LG G3 out right is $360. If I use the Tab for it than it only works out to $240, $10 a month for 24 months. Why can't I just pay $240 up front for it? It's a rip off. Just because I don't want to add $10 a month to my bill for the next 2 years, I'd rather buy a phone up front than I get gouged for it having to pay $120 extra.

The 90 day thing is to keep people from stockpiling phones on sales and such. I suppose you could call it unfair, and certainly I'd like to buy the occasional phone wihtout having to redo my tab, but I wouldn't call that a rip off. You can do exactly as Chad said as put it on tab and pay it off in full after 90 days.
So are you saying I only have to commit to the tab for 3 months and than I can go in and pay the phone off?

You don't even have to go in. You can have it billed to you after 90 days. There's a link to do so in self serve.
Okay, thanks. The new system is very confusing for me and I didn't realize that was an option. As long as I don't have to change my plan...
