When will Lollipop be pushed to Nexus 4 devices?

I understand that Nexus 4 devices are supposed to receive the update to Android Lollipop. When will that be happening? Has it started?

It has. To check, simply go to Settings-->About Phone-->Check System Updates. If you desperately want the Lollipop update (like I did), you can manually update. To manually update, download the system image from the official Google website as well as ADB. You'll need to flash the Lollipop image to your Nexus but once you're done you'll be updated. If you do go on this route though, be warned: You will lose everything. Google makes a backup of all your apps, settings, contacts, etc. but app data will NOT be backed up unless you use say Helium backup.

Hey Drew, Great question! The update was pulled back by Google as there were a few problems that Google is taking care of. Please note that we do not recommend to manually install a software updates as we will not be able to troubleshoot any potential issues. The official update should be back soon, you can periodically check for updates by following Joshua's instructions 🙂 Hope this helps! ******************************************** If you see a good answer, give it a star.

Google has already released an update to the initial 5.0 release which fixed a number of bugs. This was weeks ago and we/I have yet to receive the push to update.

Alternatively you can clear data on your Android Framework (don't worry you won't lose any info) just go to Setting, App, and find Google Framework and clear data and reset, that will get you a better chance to see OTA update sooner
