Hey guys, I'm looking at getting a new phone, unlocked, to put on Koodo's prepaid plan. One of the phones I'm looking at is sort of an oddball: a Xiaomi Mi 5. It has fantastic specs, excellent critical reception, and a great price. The only problem is, it's only compatible with Koodo's 3g bands. In terms of internet speed, that's not really an issue for me, as I seldom use data, but I'm wondering, does Koodo's 3g cover everywhere their 4g does? Kind of a dumb question, I know, but I'm not too informed on how mobile networks work.
Also, will 3g be around for another 2-3 years while I have this phone? I'm assuming it will be, after all, CDMA is still around (for now,) but you can't be too sure.
Thanks for your help
