Voicemail Notification

I used to have a Sprint Samsung Galaxy s4 phone in Cali but now switched to Koodo since back home sweet home in TO. One problem I'm having is voicemail notification ... I don't have any with Koodo so I'm resorting to calling my number randomly when I see someone called to check if they left a VM. Any idea how to fix?

What device are you using right now with Koodo?

You may need to setup your voicemail. If you've already done that, access your voicemail by long-pressing 1 on the dial pad and wait for the personal options prompt (option 4). Press 1 to modify message notification options.
Thanks! I tried that option and it connects me to my old sprint network based in California (similar to what happens when I use my VM icon/app). It says that long distance charges may apply ... and then "6ut1 is not in service" I use a Samsung Galaxy S4

You may want to call from a landline or different cellphone so that you can follow along with technician while they instruct you on how to enter the number into your phone. You can reach Customer Service at 1-866-995-6636 or 647-788-4337. [b]Hours of Operation Monday − Friday: 10 a.m. - 9 p.m. Saturday: 9 a.m. - 7 p.m. Sunday: 9 a.m. - 7 p.m.

Try calling 1+ area code + number from your cell phone If your Koodo vm is setup then it will ask you for your vm password. If it has not been set up then it will go through and tell you how to set it up (starts with entering a pwd - 4-15 digits long, then your name, then a personal greeting (or your choice of a standard greeting saying you are not available, but you will call back later). Although vm can be retrieved from any number, it can only be setup from your cell phone - so this way allows you to find out if it is set up, and/or setting it up if needed without having to make another call.
