Verifing compatibility with two Asian phones I bought THAT USES ONLY THE 2100MHz, AND NOT THE 1700MHz in 4G...

Hello, I am verifying compatibility with two Asian phones I already bought (waiting for delivery); they only have one out of two Koodo frequencies in 4G according to this :
https://d2r1vs3d9006ap.cloudfront.net/s3_images/1221471/USFreqScreen.png?1434401247 (or see image)

XIAOMI RedMi Note 2 Prime (4G, 32GB -ROM & 2GB-RAM)
2G: GSM 900/1800/[b]1900MHz
 3G: WCDMA [b]850/900/[b]1900/2100MHz
 4G: FDD-LTE 1800/[b]2100/2600MHz

- AND -

ELEPHONE M2 (MTK6753 64bit Octa-core)
2G:   GSM: Band 2/3/5/8 ([b]850/900/1800/[b]1900)
3G:   WCDMA: Band 1/5/8 ([b]850/900/2100)
4G:   LTE-FDD: Band 1/3/7/20 (800/1800/[b]2100/2600)

SINCE THESE PHONE DON'T USE THE 4G 1700MHz (b4) BUT DO USE 4G 2100MHz (b20), WILL IT WORK AS WELL AS CANADIAN CELL PHONES???
(Thanks from :  laporteianj@yahoo.ca)

They will work on Koodo 3G services however you will not have LTE (which may or may not be important to you) Koodo doesn't have 2G service so you won't get that anyway.

No, sorry,  the phones you showed will only work on 3G
You need both  band 4,  1700/2100 MHz frequencies for LTE
Wow, thankyou for this fast answer. ... And darn, I thought LTE would be spotty but would work with only 2100MHz :-(  thank you all for your help!

Quick question, will these work with Rogers / Fido / Chat-R / Mobilicity (now owned by Rogers)? Thanks guys.

Thanks John, do you know if the Elephone M2 per say would work in 2G/3G/LTE? I was looking into it, and wouldn't mind switching from Koodo to Fido if it didn't work. P.S. Bonus if you could help with the Vancouver Area specifically.

I could be mistaken but I don't think that either of those phones will work even on 3G. The bands are correct 850/1900 but I can't help but notice it's WCDMA, where as koodo uses HSPA.

If you ever decide to change network modes on your phone, you will see that 'WCDMA only' or 'WCDMA preferred' are listed as options on newer devices. Switching to these modes works perfectly with Koodo. 3G/WCDMA is used in the radio portion of both UMTS and HSPA networks.
