Upgrade to new phone

Im looking into upgrading as I understand all the phones you can get need a tab so I would have to pay more each month until my tab is payed off ? If this is right i don't want to pay extra monthly I'd rather just pay it off I was looking a pre owned do these pre owned phones have a warranty if so how long is it? Would it be the Same warranty if I where to buy a brand new phone or would it be a bit shorter ? I'm looking at the lg g4 I had the lg g3 I loved it but the screen fades to black so it doesn't work anymore and it has no warranty. One last question can I get a phone from a koodo booth/store or do I need to get it online ? Thanks.

1) Would you have to pay more with tab?

Yes, Tab Small: $10/month, Medium: $15/month, Large: $21/Month all for 2 years meaning. $240, $360, $504 in total respectively.

After 90 days you can choose to pay off the your tab and as well you can buy the phone upfront but that tends to cost more than a tab would.

2) Do Pre-Owned phones have warranty?

Yes, Android pre-owned phones come with a one year warranty (iPhones have 6 month) from Koodo where brand new phones come with a one year manufacturer warranty. More can be read at the following link.

3) Can you get a phone at a Koodo store?

Of course you can! You may find that you dont get the same offers in store though as there are a few phones that are online only offers. (The pre-owned G4 is online only)

Currently the Pre-Owned G4 Is available for $360 up front, and the non pre-owned is on for $400 up front but you recieve a $150.gift card and if you choose a tab you can get the phone for a total of $360.
If you dont want a tab, i would suggest paying $400 and getting the $150.gift card.

Hi Jake, you do not have to take a tab to get a koodo phone. You do however have to sign up for service or be a current customer to buy one outright. You must also keep your account active for at least 90 days or you'll have to repay any incentives you got when you purchased the device.

My plan is $30 a month tab Large says plans start at $59 a month. The retail price of the phone is $400 but I have a $86 positive tab so I put the phone in my cart it said it's $318 before tax for brand new and $278 used. Not sure how much it would be if I put it on a tab.

You are going to want to get the phone on tab small or pay it completely up front.
New:
$400 up front
$360 on tab small

Used:
$360 up front
$360 on tab small

Remeber the new phones come with a $150.gift card as well!
Id suggest a new one on tab small. $360-$86-$150.gift card gets you a new phone for $124.

$360 off is Tab medium
$240 off is Tab small

Go onto the Koodo page and click on the phone you want, and it will tell you the the details of the.gift in the Nitty Gritty.

If you see this.gift at best buy or mobile shop then you need to ask them for details

This is what it says in the nitty gritty * This free bonus.gift available when you buy at koodomobile.com only. Only available with new activations on the Tab. While quantities last. Any bonus.gift you receive is yours after 90 days as a Koodo customer. If you cancel service before then, you agree to pay the value of it.

Then the.gift card for that phone in that case is for new activation only. In your situation you can create a new account. You would lose your $83 positive tab balance but gain the $150.gift card.

Do you have a pre-owned phone thats less than a year old (or less than 6 months if a pre-owned iphone) or do you pay for an extended warranty with Koodo? Those are the only two ways Koodo will help you out.
If youre phone isnt pre-owned, no extended warranty and is within one year of purchase than you must contact the manufacturer of your phone, not Koodo.
If it has been more than a year, check to see if you have a longer warranty, (unusual but possible). Otherwise you will have to pay a compaby to repair your phone.

Maybe try Fongo?  Sorry Matthew, I'm kidding.

If your phone is still under warranty, and Koodo determines that the issue was caused by physical damage to the phone, etc they will send the phone for repair at your cost.

If you disagree with this assessment, you can contact the manufacturer directly for warranty.

hi - I thought the $150.gift card was only available to new customers - not current customers.  Can someone clarify?

Thanks.

usually it's for new activations only.  but it depends on the phone, the time of the offer, and where you are getting the offer from (ex. best buy, mobile shop, koodo kiosk, etc)
