Upgrade phone (still have outstanding tab balance and on Tab Medium)

Hi, I just saw that Koodo is bringing HTC One M9 and very interested to upgrade my phone to it 🙂 but since I still have outstanding tab balance on my account and on Tab Medium ($5/month), how much am I expected to pay to clear my tab for the new phone? Thanks a lot for your input!

Yes, you'd need to pay off your entire Tab to upgrade, Wincy. We're all excited about the m9 😃

You can check your tab balance in self-serve under "Koodo Tab". To upgrade, you will have to pay that off and then sign up on a new Tab for the M9.
Thanks for the quick replies! Since the $5/month medium tab also comtribute to the phone value , do I need to include that when clearing the tab for the new phone?
You need to clear all the tab. It can go negative, and contribute more towards the new phone. No big deal, sell your current phone after you upgrade!
Thanks Colin, good idea! 🙂
I have an older phone HTC One V, had it for 3 yrs, so the tab's paid off, in fact I have $46 which I can use towards a new phone. My question is, in regards to acquiring a new phone, can I keep my current data plan (Super 6Gb data) and acquire a large tab to assist with buying a new phone? or will that large tab plan w/ it's current data limit replace my 6Gb plan? My phone is in dire need of replacement but there's been the odd month where even 6Gb are used up a week or 2 shy of the next cycle.

You can keep that and go on Tab M but not Tab L.

Im with Mayumi, its a far better deal for you to pay the extra to stay on tab medium and keep that plan.

sounds good, Tab M it is 🙂 I'm with you guys there, on not losing the plan, it's practically taken a mythical element. Once in a lifetime, never to be offered to customers again 😞 Thanks for the reply folks, hopefully they'll offer something close to that data amount again, no other competitor is offering anything remotely close.
