Unresolved data usues after removing data blocker

Problem: Data is not working. Can't connect to the internet, or send MMS. Relevant Information: I removed the data blocker add-on yesterday from my Koodo account. I have 200mb of data on my current plan. I am running a Galaxy Ace. My data enabled setting is checked, my APN if properly configured as per http://koodomobile.com/en/on/switch2koodo-step-3-c.shtml Use 2G only is unchecked. Any possible ideas?

With the phone on, remove the battery and sim for 30 seconds and replace. If it still doesn't work after that then I would suggest calling Koodo Tech since it might be something related to the data block that was on your account.

Hi Zachary, you might want to try to switch off your phone for a few minutes, remove the battery and SIM too (sometimes that helps). If that doesn't help, you could call Koodo *611 and see if something needs to be done from their end 🙂

Have you tried putting your phone on flight mode for 10 seconds and then removing it, that will force your phone to do a new network search and may solve the problem right away. Another possibility is that the data block wasn't disabled in the back end of the system, for that you'll have to call tech support at 1-866-995-6636. (choose option 6) To my knowledge the data block is supposed to not be provisionnable via Self Serve (to prevent kids from removing the data block that their parents set up) so if you found a work around it might have caused an error.

Seems to me you did your homework. Good Job! Based on what you have already done, this may result on a call to Koodo Tech as they may need to refresh the data connection on thier side. Call from another line at 1-866-995-6636, option 6.
Hey guys thanks for the help! I guess I didn't do enough research. A simple turning off the phone, removing the battery and sim card did the trick. -NOOB

Right 😃 With 4 people giving the same advice at the same time, how could it not work 😃 You are one of the best NOOBs Zachary, at least you did a lot of homework first, as Tyler already said!

One last NOOB question, how do I close this off as answered?

I do believe the Mobile Masters have that ability or the people on here who are Koodo employees

Mobile Masters used to have the ability I believe but recently, it's been changed. The Koodo Mods will make it answered when they come across it. Happy to find out that the battery pull fixed the problem!
