Unlocked Rugby LTE decided to stop working with Koodo!?!?!


my unlocked rugby lte has been working fine with my koodo sim card for a few weeks. Then it spontaneously stated emergency calls only. When i attempt to call it states the phone is not registered on the sim. It shows full bars at home which is normal and the sim works in other phones. My parents bell sim card works in the phone so i thought maybe it was a temp unlock code so i brought it to the mall to get it re unlocked and they cant figure it out. They say it might not but compatible under koodo but they have no idea they have never come across this problem. Will it never work with koodo again? and why? i ask again WHY?

Did you check Settings / wireless and net works / mobile network Make sure network selection is on automatic, use 2g or use gsm only isn't selected? Let us know

The phone wouldn't suddenly reject the Koodo SIM. If it was working before it will always continue to work in the future unless the phone gets damaged or something. I would replace the SIM card and see if that fixes anything. Just yesterday my phone wasn't sending texts, but literally everything else worked. I replaced my SIM card and it started working again. Sometimes you just get a dud. They're a dime a dozen.

the person who is trying to fix it told me his friends koodo sim didnt work either.

Hmm. Does your SIM work in a different device? While the support is limited for non Koodo devices, I would call tech support and see what's going on. Also make sure your bills are all paid up and you haven't hit your spending cap limit (if applicable).

yes it does and i visited a koodo store and called. they said they couldnt help me. but they have no idea what it is.

ive called before and they did a whole bunch of things to try and see if the issue was in their side of things but they found out it wasnt. Should i still call about what you asked?
