Solved

This phone was given to me, but it was lost.

Somebody at the Theatre I occasionally work at gave me a phone they had-had in the last and found for about a year. Since it was in there for a year and when the Theatre tried contacting the people and it didn't work, the gave it to me since I'm a phone enthusiast. I can't unlock it and I'm suspecting it's because it's IMEI was blocked and reported as stolen. Would you like me to bring it to a koodo kiosk, or what should I do? PS I'm not a Koodo cutsomer (too young to go on contract), but this phone is registered to Koodo.

You're out of luck I'm afraid, Toni. Only the original owner can unblock a blacklisted phone.

I guess you can hand it in at a Koodo store though 🙂 they might be able to find the owner.
