the sim i just purchased is too small for my phone, can i get an exchange if i go back to the retailer?

That would be up to the retailer, who did you get it from? Kiosk? Mobile Shop?
Koodo kiosk. Activated it and everything before I realized it was the wrong size.

Yeah it shouldn't be an issue. Especially if it hasn't been activated. I usually ask customers which phone it is so I can give them the proper one. EDIT: Ohh, that's different. See, it's best to make sure it's the right size before activating it! I think that would be up to the store manager since that would a burnt SIM but again I don't think you'll have any issues.

My advice, call the Kiosk and explain what happened and ask if they will be kind enough to exchange.
