Texting and Prepaid Account

Hi. I just set up a prepaid account, went through the online setup and clicked on the email verification link. All good. Restarted my phone and - no texting. The customer agent told me that feature would be instantly available. I've tested it to 3 different accounts and none have received the test text. What do I need to look at to get texting working? Thanks

Try restarting your phone again. If that doesn't work pop the sim card out and back in after a minute. Can you make calls wiuthout issue?
Thanks - pulling and resetting the SIM card appears to have done it. Restarting the phone alone did not. Thanks for the quick response...
