tabs , plans and confusion

I'm on a tab plan.. large i guess..? I have had it for 9 months now with no problem but my job situation has changed. I'm trying to fis an advantageigure out if there's a wayto decrease my monthly cost for a while. I pay about $80 in total... tax in. I have 750mb data which i don't use all of... unlimited anytime minutes, text and sms... and canada wide ld. I got an sg3 android for that plan. I'm in halifax ns From what i have read i can't decrease my plan without paying off the tab right? So... I have no idea how much i owe on the phone now. I tried just paying extra on the monthly bill but the selfserve system wouldnt let me. It would say i already had an overpayment. So my tab will be whatever 8-9 months tab fee is... What i want help with (and forgive me but I have trouble with compatisons of things that aren't exactly the same)... is whether there is any advantage to lowering my plan. Is there a cheaper version of my plan and if yes... is it worth paying off the lump sum tab to get that decrease? I would pay it off and then just stop service except this is my job search phone and office when I am not home. I tried using a minitab without a sim and relying only on public access wifi is misery. What should I do?

It actually sounds like you're on a medium tab. You're best option would be to look at your usage and see if you can drop your plan down to something lower.

You could also tone down the usage a bit and drop the plan down just the same.

Example: $50 Plan (Including the $5 Tab charge) which has 500 Daytime Minutes, 500mb of Data, Unlimited evenings and weekends that start at 5, unlimited texting, call display and voicemail 3.

Paying off your tab isn't going to save you enough to warrant the big initial cost to do so. Unless you can give up the phone completely, which isn't usually an option.

You can modify your plan in self serve or give customer service a call. (*611 on your mobile phone)

Hope I was helpful! And hope everything works out with the job situation!

Hi Justin, we can help over the phone but a $10 fee would apply if we change the customer's plan. Thank you!

I am now on medium tab. Monthly plan 45 inc. Tax and tab. May I downgrade my plan. Its too expensive for me. I checked self serve but found no options. What is the minimum payment I must pay if I want to leave this package.

You should be able to choose any of the lightweight plans on self serve https://shop.koodomobile.com/plans/plans/index.html

On self serve, nothing cheaper than the current one.

S/he said $45 including tab and tax. So s/he must have $35plan. If this plan is too expensive, s/he could pay off the current tab and switch to prepaid...
