I cancelled my account in August before leaving the country. The agent that I spoke to told me that she couldn't put the cancellation through at that moment because at that time of day they didn't do cancellations, but that she would save the recording of our conversation as authorization to cancel it the following day. The reason she needed authorization was because I was leaving the country the following day so I wouldn't be able to call from my old number. Basically it seemed like she was going to take care of it. However, I received an email recently with a final disconnect notice saying that I owed Koodo over $100.00. I need to speak to another agent to fix this issue but as I am no longer in Canada or the US, I am charged long-distance fees to call Koodo.
