Speaker phone on LG G3

I'm on my second LG G3 in two weeks, and the speaker function on the phone has not worked properly on either device. Has anyone else had this problem with the phone? And if so, any known fixes?

When you put the call on speaker phone do you also turn the volume up all the way with the button on the back?

when you open youtube and play a video, does sound work then?
This is the second handset, and yes - volume is up. I can hear videos, but haven't actually loaded any games yet. I just can't hear calls. On the first G3 (exchanged yesterday) calls would actually disconnect when I put them on speaker. That hasn't happened with this one...yet.

The speaker that plays youtube videos is the same used for speakerphone.
So we know that it is not broken.
Very strange.
The only things i can think of is that you might not be pressing the right button for speaker, however it is painfully obvious which one does it.
Or that once the speaker is engaged your volume is all the way down.
Only other things that would effect sounds is if you were connected to a bluetooth device or had headphones plugged in or something haha.

Yeah...I'm a longtime Android user, and I user speakerphone A LOT. they actually tested it in the store, and it definitely worked on everything *but* the phone. The calls just disconnect. It's super-weird. On this new one, I just can't here a thing, and the volume is definitely cranked. It's not on every call, only about 50%. But I use my call for business, so 50% is way too much.
