Sim not working after activation

I activated my sim card last night but it does not seem to be working. My phone is samsung galaxy fame. Tried turning it off and on but does not seem to be working. Tried to change the mobile network mode to gsm/wcdma and wcdma only but both dont seem to work. Thanks for the help!

Also what model is it? It would be useful to look it up on gsmarena.com to see what frequencies it's comparable with to check with TeaBird was suggesting.
