I've perused ALL the links of people having issues with the new jellybean update which was available in April, and now it's July, and obviously I don't have it. I thought if I connected the phone through Kies Air, it'd work, but sadly because I have a Mac, running Lion, I don't think Kies Air works. It never did and it doesn't now. Plugging the phone into the USB cable only CHARGES the phone. I would really like it if a Koodo employee, or someone who KNOWS THEIR STUFF can answer this thread. I tried this link without success: http://community.koodomobile.com/koodo/topics/android_update_to_jelly_bean_4_1_2_for_samsung_galaxy_s2x_t989d
Now I'm hearing all sorts of negative things relating to the new update. Battery issues, Wifi/data connecting even though it's off, battery problems, buggy on motion activated functions, phone charging only to 98% etc. etc. etc. The big question here is, whether it's worth even trying to get the update if these are the issues I have to deal with? It's bad enough that kies air doesn't work on my mac with all the stupid java downloads (useless by the way). I can't even download photos to my computer. The only way I can get them is to email them one by one. Does that sound normal to you?! If you do NOT have a solution to this problem, DO NOT ANSWER THIS THREAD!!! !
