Samsung Galaxy A8 Stuck on boot.

Greetings,

As the title says, I've recently purchased a new phone, a certified Samsung Galaxy A8. I did notice that most of the time, the phone itself would reboot after a short period of time not being used.
To be honest, since this is my first android phone, I thought this was normal.

But today, I have applied an update and ever since this morning, the phone gets stuck on the logo upon startup and that's pretty much it ; Nothing else, just the logo screen.

I did tried to force-restart the device by holding the down volume key+ the power button, nothing happened ; the same result appeared.

I did a few researsh online and I've tried to plug it on, leave it for an hour and come back to see if it was the battery or the firmware, now it is stuck on the charging state even if its not plugged in anymore!

Is there any possible way to fix this or do I have to personally go to a center to have it fixed?

I would try to reset the phone to factory settings and see if it helps. If it happens again, then you need to follow Koodo/Samsung warranty https://www.koodomobile.com/help/warranty-and-repair-policy

The way to fix it yourself would likely void the warranty anyways so I'd take it in for samsung / Koodo to fix. Especially since it was periodically restarting by itself when you got it (absolutely not normal for Android ) and an update bricked it.

Oh and how recently are we talking? If it's been 15 days you can just exchange it. Otherwise you would have to bring it in to be fixed.

Have you tried erasing everything form it by booting in safe mode?

Here's the method I was talking about : https://www.hardreset.info/devices/samsung/samsung-galaxy-a8/hardreset/first-method/
I contacted them via phone and they would do an exchange.
The thing is that the new phone should come in in the next 5 days, which Is right in the middle of where I NEED a working phone.

Never trust certified phone.

I've tried to boot it in safe-mode and now it is forever stuck on rebooting, showing me kernel rev. check fail Device 3 Binary 2
From what I've read, it is a firmware and unless I flash, which would void the garanty there is nothing else I can do about it. I can't even hard reset it to factory setting.

This is upsetting.

Just to note, the certified pre-owned A8 is the same price as the regular A8 so ask for one of those instead.
