Report lost phone using imei black listed

I was looking for the info on imei suspension. Some of rob my phone and I wanted to report my phone as an stolen with using imei which blocks anyone from using it internationally. I looked it up and it says mobile company can do those suspension for me. Is there way to report my phone as stolen using imei?

I reported my phone lost as instructed but when I keep checked my imei, it still shows that my phone is clean. So I thought they are only suspending from using data or phone call (sim card service). Does it take a few days to pop out that it is a stolen one?

By the way, I was using my own unlocked phone which is not Koodo's.

From what I read, only carriers can blacklist an IMEI, and it should be a device from them.https://www.devicecheck.ca/check-status-device-canada/
You could try to report it to Police and see if they could help you or not.

Koodo can blacklist the phone for you, as long as their system did pick up the imei number when it was connected to the network. At the moment you'll either need to call in or contact them via facebook though, since the blacklist functionality has not yet been added to the new self serve site. (it's on the way)
