Recently ported number and cannot send or receive MMS to people on different carriers - but able to send to people who are using Koodo


Hello Koodo community, Like the title says, I recently ported my number over to Koodo prepaid (roughly 2 weeks ago) and everything is working perfectly fine, EXCEPT for the fact that I cannot send any MMS (only picture) messages to others who are on other carriers. I have tried sending pictures to my friends on Rogers, Fido, and Koodo but only people using Koodo are able to send and receive MMS messages to me. My APN is the one listed on: http://help.koodomobile.com/plans-add-ons-data-and-other-services/data-basics/how-do-i-setup-data-on-my-non-koodo-phone. I have tried using many messaging apps: hangouts, Lollipop messaging app, textra, chomp etc. and none of them work. Any help would be appreciated! Not the biggest problem in the world, but definitely irritating. Also, I tried calling Koodo's support number but the automated voice said that I will be charged $5 so I will try the community first!

Hi Philip, this is a strange one! You should definitely contact our technical support so we can have a look into it. No worries, the $5 fee never applies if you are calling to receive assistance 🙂 The best is to call from another phone at 1-866-995-6636, option #6 then #2.
