RCS Not Working (Messaging)

Hi there, 

I recently got a new phone and i got a s21,  and the phone has a RCS and the messaging system had the READ and DELIEVRED near the time stamps, and i would be able to see when they are typing there messages. 

Then all of a sudden today, it all disappeared when i updated the phone, all gone.

Now, when i try to go into chat settings again, it will not work and it turns grey and like blank.

Can someone help me resolve this problem? I haven’t be able to find a answer.

RCS requires data (either via wifi or your cellular plan), were you connected to wifi or your plan hadsufficient data?

Also, you could try to disable and enable it again and see if that help https://www.koodomobile.com/en/help/next-generation-messaging

i cant even like disable or enable, plus if i do want to register for it will say registration failed

First, I would suggest you try to reset network settings of the phone and see if that helps. (Settings » general management » Reset » Reset network settings).

There was a similar report in the forum with the RCS with the samsung default app. There is also a report of the problem at samsung forum https://eu.community.samsung.com/t5/galaxy-s20-series/chat-feature/td-p/3068135

If possible, I would suggest you download the Google Message app,  use it as default for messaging and see if that helps.
