Repost from two years ago because one of the mobile masters told me not to revive old posts. Still no Native Android Visual Voicemail, despite the fact that this was introduced in Android M.

Setup isn't even difficult for the carrier. Its a server side update and support for OMTP.

With Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) or newer now being on 48.2% of devices, I can't imagine why Koodo wouldn't provide this functionality for their customers.

Customers has been asking this on rogers, bell and telus for years. They haven't implemented yet. I don't think it will come to Koodo anytime soon.

I am not sure where challenges are. It is not free on iOS though, $2 for Koodo ($5 for telus). They properly saw there wasn't enough subscribers hence no motivation to expand it to Android from the business viewpoint.
With Telus rolling out visual voicemail for Pixel customers will Koodo be doing the same soon?

I read that some pixel 2 has this on koodo. They add iphone VVM add-on 2$. Thru ?

@abdel, Telus had a note on it: https://www.telus.com/en/bc/support/article/visual-voicemail-for-android I am not sure it will work on Koodo as I haven't seen any reports of it. The redit screenshot didn't show the carrier, so I doubted the authenticity of it.

However, from the Telus link: you need Android 0 and it will only work on certain devices.
I can confirm that the 2$ VVM, which is branded as "iPhone VVM" works fine on the Pixel 2 (Android 8.1).
@Azure & @ Kirby : Thank you
I can also confirm the visual voicemail for iphone works I have a Nexus 6p I believe if your phone has the visual voicemail option in your phone app it will work.

That's awesome! Thank you for sharing that. Has anyone been able to set it up on the Huawei P20?
Confirming that the $2 VVM for iPhone is also working on the Essential with Android P.
