Userlevel 3
So Last week I was able to install cyanogenmod successfully on to my Galaxy S4, but I turned my phone off, but when i turn it on im constantly being looped into the phone's ClockworkMod Recovery. Seeing as im way over my head and my warranty has already expired how much will cost me to get my phone repaired with a galaxy S4. or should i buy a new phone. Please help

If you can get cyanogenmod, you can go back to stock, there are instructions here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2261573 Also I believe you can get the firmware from sammobile. You'll need to make an account for sammobile. As for your question on repairs, I'm not sure if they cover repairs in situations (cyanogenmod issues) like this. Your best bet is to go to a kiosk and ask. Hopefully, someone else could chime in and clarify that. 🙂

Yup, sammobile.com and odin will get you back to stock. Read carefully first. Let us know.

Mohamed, did you use so-called "all-in-one" tools to flash your ROM ? Or did you use fastboot and adb with the command prompt?

Alright. You familiar with Odin? We'll get you back running. (Note that I'll be on/off throughout the day since I'm at work. If anything, I'll be on full time later today once I get back home).

Just to warn you for future reference that it does not matter if your phone is out of warranty - if you unlock your boot loader you waive any warranty (unless you flash it back to stock and re-lock the the boot loader without tripping any security measure).

For Motorola devices, the unlocking process is done through Moto, so no way to make it look like nothing happened to it. They know you unlocked the BL.

You're still VERY far from havin a bricked phone, Mohamed. The mere fact that it's booting [i]somewhere (even if not what you want it to boot) means that you're golden. No need to worry. In its current state, your S4 is perfectly fine! A little love will bring it back in no time!

An update folks, I was able to get Cyanogenmod running again ( Part of me wants to keep Cyanogenmod running). I want to thank all of folks for all of your help, however there are some things that need to be noted 1. the At and T Firmwear link is out of date so I downloaded firmware from http://www.mrcrab.net/androidfirmware/SGH-I337M/Samsung-Galaxy-S4-Canada-SGH--I337M.html, i downloaded the latest version(6th entry) and followed the instructions. 2. I was also able to redownload my apps so I downloaded Titanium Backup to make an extra backup to make sure i dont make the same mistake again. I was wondering Can i create a backup and sync it to my computer.

You don't need AT&T's firmwares, Mohamed. Canada's version of the S3 has its own (that's why it's called SGH-i747M instead of SGH-i747). Samsung uses CSC codes too, so whatever canadian OEM firmware you download will default to the original carrier anyway (unless you change the CSC...... but I doubt you will/would). What I mean is, even if you download the Bell S3 OEM firmware, if you flash it to a Koodo S3, the pre-installed apps will be Koodo's, not Bell's. Thank CSC codes for that. About syncing your TiBu backup to your computer, it can't be done in one fell swoop. However, you can backup to your SD card first (or to external flash through OTG cable) and THEN copy those files in a folder of your choice on your computer. I personally use the OTG cable method. Have fun with CM11! 🙂
