No service in AZ.

Last time I was in the US, Phoenix AZ I could not use my phone anywhere. Is it a Koodo problem or is there a system problem ? I was there from Oct 11 to the 28...tried ten different times and got no service.

It's definitely not a koodo problem, as long as you are not on a prepaid plan. Koodo like all Canadian cellphone companies provide their own coverage in Canada. Once in the US they rely on various American companies to provide you with service. AT&T, tmobile, verizon etc. Depending on where you are they may or may not have coverage.
Phoenix is a big place. I couldn't get service anywhere in the valley. It would not connect to the local provider which I believe would have been AT&T. I wasn't on a prepaid plan but that shouldn't make a difference as I have called from there before without a prepaid plan.

Might the phone be set to stay on th Koodo network, rather than automatically choosing a local network?
No it was open ..roaming to whatever network was available.

Was your phone "searching for service" at all? Or it just said "No service"?

I'd suggest to put your phone on airplane/flight mode and back. Another alternative would be to pull your SIM and battery. Other than that I'm all out of suggestions. 🙂
