no cell service for days

I've had intermittent service for almost a week now and I cannot make any outgoing phone calls and often can't send or recieve texts either. I've checked that I'm connected to Koodo, airplane mode isn't turned on, restarted my phone and took out the sim card, then put it back in....all to no avail. Is Koodo just out of service? What am I supposed to do when I can't even reach *611?

Try putting the aim card in another phone to see if the problem follows. If it does, you'll need to get a new sjm card. If not it could be a problem with your phone. Does this happen no matter where you are? You can use google talk or another phone lines to place the call or better yet send a private message to Koodo via Facebook Messenger or DM via Twitter

Are you on the edge of Koodo's coverage?

How is reception outside?

Hi, no I called them to ask if there was an issue in my area and they said no the signal strength is very strong there, but it's been so bizarre. I could be underground and have full service, but no service in my old apartment building. Doesn't make much sense seeing as I have the same phone as I did when signing up in February, no changes to it, didn't drop it, etc, and suddenly the service is almost kaput.

I had the same experience with service in an underground subway station.  It was great signal, then one day it was kaput.  However, if the signal is decent outdoors, then I dont think Koodo will change anything.  I assume that a tower/frequency change occurred).

if you are having crap/no signal outside, then there might be a tower that is down or malfunctioning and I would continue to follow up with them

outside is fine, indoors in my apartment sucks. It's going to be difficult to figure out once I move next month into a new building but hopefully it won't be as hellish as it's been this month. 😞

I bet they changed/upgraded a tower and is probably using a different frequency that is not going through the concrete as well as before.  So to them the signal is as strong as ever, but indoors is may be poor.

Unfortunately, no telecom guarantees signal indoors.  If the signal is still poor after your move, I recommend switching providers

I've been having the same issue with both my PC Postpaid phone (uses Telus's networks just like Koodo, and it was originally a Koodo phone when purchased), and my ex-wife's Koodo phone.  We are in the heart of SouthWestern Ontario.  I've tried changing SIMs 2 times on each phone and getting a still very poor signal on both phones.  One is the LG G3 (could be the phone), the other is an S5 Neo.  I'm thinking Koodo/Telus is just having some signal issues and it will be fixed very shortly
