Userlevel 1
I have a Nexus 4 the volume & speaker don't work well, does anyone else have this problem. I have done the factory reset & it doesn't help. Any suggestions?

Well the Nexus 4 loudspeaker volume isn't really anything to brag about but if you feel like it's really inadequate, perhaps bring it in for repair/servicing. If it's under a year old you can get if done under warranty but if it's not, then you're gonna have to stick with it or buy a new phone.

I have looked into that thank you, & yes I would have to send it in, & be without a phone until I get it back. That is what I'm doing sticking with it, until I can buy another. It's fairly new, just disappointed with that feature.

You can get a loaner phone from Koodo while your device is out for repair so you won't be put out while the repair is being done. If you want a phone with amazing sound check out the M8 from HTCtthat's in Koodo's lineup it's absolutely amazing and no other device comes close thanks to its dual front facing speakers that flank the display on the top& bbottom. The entire phone is IMO the best smartphone ever made and we'll worth the moneyyyou will paygfor it. If the M8 is too price then check out the Moto G by Motorola it's speaker is plenty loud just not as great as reproducing low tones liketthe M8 and not quite as loud since there's only a single speakermmounted on the back of the device. I've had both the Nexus 4 & amp Nexus 5 and the inadequate volumeiif the speakers were their biggest downfall IMO

I have looked into sending the phone back for repair, the loander they offered me was from the dinousor age! The Nexus is only one year old, I'm disappointed with the speaker. I don't want to spend money this soon again. I liked the Samsung Note, at time, but was pricey. I don't know if that would of been better speaker. I'll have to endure it. 😞

Yeah I'd say the Note would have a better speaker.

The Moto G actually has a pretty good loud speaker! And a better display, surprisingly. The storage and camera are lacking but everything else about the phone is awesome for its $150 price tag.

The problem is I don't think it's fair, for me to spend the money again, when my phone tab isn't even paid yet! Especially since it's been a problem from the begining, & I brought back the first Nexus, & it was replaced, but no one told me this was a problem with this particular phone. Had I of known, that I couldn't use it on speaker, I would of made another choice.

Well... Phones cost money. Nothing is free. However, being unable to use the speaker is different from just not liking it. So does it work but it's not loud enough for you? Or does it actually not work?
